ELKHART LAKE, Wisconsin (August 6, 2021) – The Ascent Park City, a condo-hotel that is part of the Tapestry Collection By Hilton, has joined the Atlanta Speedwerks as a primary partner of the No. 94 The Ascent Park City/Dinner With Racers Honda Civic TCR in IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge beginning with this weekend’s race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

The Atlanta Speedwerks Honda Civic TCR, which currently sits second in the season-long team championship, is piloted by co-drivers Scott Smithson and Honda Factory driver Ryan Eversley. Eversley sits second in the Driver’s Championship. This weekend’s two-hour race, round six of 10 in the season, is scheduled for 4:35 p.m. CDT on Saturday, August 7, and can be seen live via TrackPass on the NBC Sports app. The race will re-air on Wednesday, August 18 at 3:00 p.m. EDT on NBCSN for cable and satellite subscribers.

The Ascent Park City, located at the foot of the largest ski resort in the United States, offers owners and visitors alike four-seasons of recreation, dining and shopping at Park City Mountain’s Canyons Village. The Ascent consists of 120 fully furnished residences, including studio and one-bedroom plans, starting in the $500,000s for purchase through Summit Sotheby’s International Realty. The boutique condo-hotel is part of the exclusive Tapestry Collection by Hilton, placing it among 47 of the most elite hotels in the world.

Smithson, who finished on the podium with Eversley in his IMSA debut at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, is a founder of The Ascent Park City. After appearing in three of the first six rounds this season, Smithson will finish the season co-driving with Eversley in the No. 94 The Ascent Park City/Dinner With Racers Honda Civic TCR for Atlanta Speedwerks. Smithson is in his first season with Atlanta Speedwerks, and just his second as a professional racer after advancing from track days just four seasons ago.

“I am very excited to proudly represent The Ascent Park City and Atlanta Speedwerks here at Road America and throughout the rest of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season,” Smithson said. “With Ryan Eversley fighting for a championship, I am focused on delivering a brilliant result for our team.”

As a condo-hotel, The Ascent Park City’s residences are purchased by individuals through Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, but will be available for rent through Hilton.com just like any other hotel room. The Ascent Park City is scheduled for ground breaking in the second half of 2021.

“I’ve known since day one that The Ascent Park City would be one the Mountain West’s most sought-after condo-hotels,” Keri Holland, Global Real Estate Advisor for Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, said. “Now, with Scott Smithson driving the No. 94 Ascent Park City Honda Civic TCR for Atlanta Speedwerks, we’ll be sharing this exceptional real estate offering with a new captive audience that would enjoy a break from the speed of the race track for a relaxing getaway and investment in the mountains.”

For the first time this season, Smithson returns to a track in which he’s previously raced. Smithson was a race-winner a season ago in SRO competition in a similar Honda Civic TCR car, which will be welcome experience as Eversley and Atlanta Speedwerks chase their respective Driver and Team championships.

“Scott and Ryan have both had fantastic seasons to this point, and we’re hoping to keep that momentum going with The Ascent Park City on No. 94 Honda Civic TCR,” Todd Lamb, Atlanta Speedwerks team owner, said. “It’s been an exciting week in the growth of this race team. We’re looking forward to working with Scott, The Ascent, and Summit Sotheby’s International as this season continues.”

Saturday’s two-hour Michelin Pilot Challenge race is part of the IMSA SportsCar weekend at Road America. More information on the team or this weekend’s racing can be found at www.atlspeedwerks.com or IMSA.com. Information on The Ascent Park City can be found at AscentParkCity.com.
